Idaho LLC Filing Fees: The Full 2026 Picture
Idaho is one of the least expensive states in the country to keep an LLC alive, and not just on day one. Formation is $100 online, the annual report is free, and even changing your registered agent is a $0 filing. The paper column runs higher because Idaho charges a $20 manual processing surcharge on paper filings and requires them to be typed. The paper annual report is stranger still: it can only be filed in person at the Boise office. Nearly everyone files everything through SOSBiz.

What Idaho Does Not Charge For
- The annual report. Filed online, it is $0 every year. The report is still mandatory, due by the last day of your anniversary month, and skipping it puts the LLC on a roughly 60-day path to administrative dissolution. The annual requirements page covers the mechanics.
- Changing your registered agent. The online filing is free; only the paper route carries the $20 surcharge.
